Croydon Council Planning Applications
When submitting a Council planning application an understanding of the various local policies, requirements and opportunities are critical. This is to ensure that building projects can be approved in a timely and cost-effective manner, enabling high-quality developments and maximising the potential of our clients’ sites.
Plande works with a broad range of developers, businesses, investors, architects, and landowners as well as a number of private individuals to help with their planning needs. We draft high-quality Borough Planning Applications for submission to the Council Planning department. These include change of use, self-build, commercial, residential and leisure schemes, conservation areas and green belt.
Croydon is a large town with a large population. As of 2011 the population of the town was approximately 200,000 people. The wider borough of Croydon has a population of over 400,000. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1066 and had church, a mill and around 365 people living there. The town grew in the Middle Ages, mainly as a market town. In later years it grew as a commuter town. Retailing and Service are the main industries in the area. The Borough was created following the Government Act in 1963. Croydon is famed for wall murals including the one picture here.
Croydon Council is responsible for processing planning permission, planning applications and appeals in the area.
