planning permission

No material changes were to be made to the dwellinghouse which needed no adaption to facilitate supported living. The existing house was a typical 4-bedroom property with bedroom accommodation on the 1st floor and general living accommodation on the ground floor.

Our client places residents with emotional and behavioural difficulties, who for whatever
reason cannot live in their natural homes, small residential units. The dwelling was to be used for up to 3 residents and up to 3 members of staff at the property generally, with members of staff providing 24-hour care.

Plande successfully justified that the proposed use fell under Class C3b and no planning permission for a change of use to Class C2 or Sui Generis was required.
