Care home for young persons

The existing house had a typical layout including 3 bedrooms and a WC/ bathroom on the first floor, with general living accommodation on the ground floor.
Each resident was to have their own bedroom and would share the communal kitchen and dining area on the ground floor with the carers sharing and participating in the domestic and living activities with the residents.

The property for to provide care for residents who are subject to Care Orders by the relevant Local Authorities and will be Looked after Children. The residents would have emotional and behavioural difficulties or having experienced neglect and the proposals sought to utilise a small residential unit, to promote their recovery with a view to introducing them to independent living.

The proposals sought to use the dwellinghouse for supported living for up to 3 residents,
aged 12-17, with up-to 2 carers, providing 24-hour care
