Our client sought to obtain a Transport for London (TfL) license to operate his taxi business. In order to apply they required confirmation that the use of their property for this purpose was lawful.
Our client actually operated the business from part of his house and did not have any staff, taxis or customers at the property.
While typically a Sui Generis use, plande submitted a robust application which successfully justified that the use of part of the dwellinghouse as a taxi operating centre did not amount to a change of use. Out client was therefore able to obtain the relevant TfL license allowing him to continue to operate his business without disruption.
