Developing a full order book meant our clients needed additional Office accommodation on their existing site.
An established local business, located in a primarily residential area outside of the Town Centre, the existing site already contained several buildings including a two-storey detached building, a main single-storey industrial building with an attached R&D facility and a further small detached office building.
The siting of the new office structure was on an existing section of the car park, which means an overall reduction in the number of spaces on site. In addition, the erection of the additional Office accommodation meant that additional parking spaces were required to meet the local supplementary planning guidance document.
Working with the manufacturer of the modular accommodation and our client, a package of information was presented to the Council illustrating the new accommodation was economically essential while not having a material impact on the neighbouring residential properties, highway safety or cause an issue with parking standards.
